Isabelle St-Pierre, PhD, RN

Isabelle has been a registered nurse for over 33 years, acquiring extensive experience in a wide range of roles and settings. These include practicing as a registered nurse in: hospital environments such as the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department; as a public health nurse for a municipal government; as an occupational health nurse for federal and municipal governments and in the hospital setting; supporting injured workers and employers as a nurse case manager with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board; as a health human resources consultant with the Canadian Nurses Association; as a university professor; and providing consulting services since 2017.  

As a consultant in workplace psychological health, Isabelle brings a wealth of expertise supported by certifications in conflict coaching, workplace investigation, Emotional Intelligence, the NOVA Profile, the Enneagram, and the Working Mind mental health training program. She is also trained as a third-party neutral in facilitation and mediation through the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution. She co-founded in 2024 St-Pierre, Gauthier & Co. Inc.

Isabelle earned her PhD from the University of Ottawa focusing her thesis on workplace violence. She also holds a graduate-level diploma in adult education and a certificate in occupational health and safety both from l’UQO. She published several articles and book chapters on workplace violence and workplace integration, and she is a sought-after guest lecturer on these subjects. Dedicated to community engagement, Isabelle volunteers as a conflict coach for Community Conflict Resolution Ottawa.

Jacques-Bernard Gauthier, PhD

Jacques-Bernard is a recognized authority in organizational research methodology. With a PhD in management, and a specialization in organizational research methodology, he spent over 25 years as an associate professor at l’Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO). Today, he brings his extensive expertise to St-Pierre, Gauthier & Co, Inc., a company he co-founded in 2024.

Throughout his academic career, Jacques-Bernard has led and co-led numerous research projects focusing on the human factor at work. His studies have explored a wide range of topics including job satisfaction, motivation, turnover intentions, perception of fairness, collaboration, anxiety, and distress. His hallmark contributions to these projects have centered on ensuring methodological rigor through:

  • formulating robust research designs (quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods)

  • Developing data collection tools (questionnaires, interview guides, observations guides, etc.)

  • Planning and conducting data analyses

  • Psychometrically validating measurement instruments

Jacques-Bernard Gauthier is an Associate Professor in the Department of Administrative Sciences at UQO, where he continues to be involved in research on methodological issues. His work on the methodological issues underlying content analysis of interviews in the context of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) has been published in a scientific journal. A visionary and seasoned methodologist, Jacques-Bernard Gauthier contributes to transforming organizational practices through a rigorous and innovative scientific approach.
